Deren got a flat tire on the previous day so he had to ride to a bike shop to fix the flat. The bike shop was very nice and gave him a new tube and tire and they donated the cost of the fix to Chains United. Then Deren's dad rode with him to Darien where they ate food and Deren continued. He finally continued to Midway for a total of 60 miles.
