19th Day: North Carolina Chains United Relay Race

To begin today, Deren had to wake up early to go over a bridge to avoid traffic. Mom followed him closely again for safety. The first part went from New Bern, NC to Bay View Aurora ferry. After we went over the ferry, Deren biked to Plymouth and for the final few miles he was accompanied by his father. We went to a restaurant called Hardison's Carolina BBQ with many locals dining and they started talking to us. They were extremely inspired by Deren's journey. We received several donations from the restaurant owner and even an elderly very cute lady.
